The Immigration Office organizes special client service hours on both Gödöllő and Buda Campus and also at the Immigration Office for SZIU students so that you can receive your residence permit easier. Therefore, please, fill in the form.
IF YOU ARE SUBJECT TO VISA to travel to Hungary, your embassy automatically applies also for residence permit. In this case you will receive your residence permit at the Immigration Office or in the university with the condition that at least 50 students (and max. 120) register for a meeting. Both Buda Campus and Gödöllő Campus students can visit any of the two venues.
The Immigration Office organises Client Services on Campus on the following days:
- 9 September on Gödöllő Campus (register till 6 Sep 11 am)
- 30 September on Buda Campus (register till 27 Sep 9 am)
- 10 October on Gödöllő Campus (register till 8 Oct 9 am)
- 18 September - Client Service only for SZIU students at Immigration Office in Budapest 1135, Szegedi út 35-37 Twin Office building, ground floor (register till 16 Sep 9 am)
Documents to bring:
- Student Status Certificate (issued by your registrar's officer/Erasmus coordinator at SZIU)
- Original(!) and also a Copy(!) of passport and visa
- Accomodation sheet (issued by the dormitory coordinator or by the owner of the flat you rent); if you rent a flat or room, your lease contract is needed as well
- DATA SHEET
- 1 passport-size photo
IF YOU ARE NOT SUBJECT TO VISA
Documents to bring:
- Application form downloadable from the website of the Immigration Office
- 1 passport size photo
- Accomodation sheet – from the owner of your flat or the international coordinator of the dormitory (Ms. Katalin Papp: papp.katalin@fh.szie.hu if you live in the dormitory on Gödöllő Campus, Ms. Ildikó Fedor: fedor.ildiko@fh.szie.hu – if you live in Somogyi Imre Dormitory, Budapest, Szüret u. 2–18.)
- Original(!) and also a Copy(!) of passport
- Letter of Acceptance (sent by SZIU via e-mail or post)
- Student status certificate (in Hungarian) – from SZIU (Registrar’s Office)
If you are a scholarship holder, also:
- Letter of Award if you are a scholarhip holder (e.g. SH or SCYP from TEMPUS, FAO from Ministry of Agriculture)
If you are a self-financing student, also:
- bank statement proving that you have enough money to live in Hungary
- health insurance
